An exploration of home, identity, memory and belonging through contemporary South African creativity.
Private Viewing Fri 02.10.2026 · 6–11PM
Tethered Ground gathers work that reflects on identity, memory, community, and the ways in which our environments shape who we are. The land is not something separate from ourselves, but a part of a symbiotic relationship, one that is inherited, contested, and continually remade.
The exhibition brings together emerging South African creatives across a range of mediums, from art and fashion to sound, to build an immersive show that reflects the richness, diversity, and energy of contemporary South African creativity.
The private viewing runs from 6pm to 11pm on Friday 2 October at 15 Hulbert Road, Village Deep, Johannesburg. The exhibition is then open daily from 3 to 13 October, 10am to 5pm.
